The theft was reported in 2008 by the owner of the business, where Walker was vice president, Gomez said.

As detective Simeon Plyler of the sheriff's Commercial Crimes Bureau began investigating the case and a search warrant was served at Walker's residence, authorities learned she had fled the state. She was eventually located in Florida, where she was arrested on a Los Angeles County warrant, according to Gomez.
