Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies have identified the man suspected of stabbing his West Hollywood roommate to death as Andre Damiane Davids, 36.

Davids remains in custody in lieu of $1 million bail. Investigators believe he stabbed Kurtland Ma, 34, in what may have been a murder-attempted suicide. Earlier, a deputy in the West Hollywood station said Davids “appeared to have taken a large amount of pills”

The two men were apparently intimate, Deputy Crystal Hernandez said Sunday.

A press release issued today offered no further details.

"The two men were apparently intimate," what does this mean? were they roommates? Lovers? was one a "trick"? or choose one? ambiguous?

From the previous (and linked) article: "Preliminary information indicated that the suspect and the victim were in an intimate relationship and were living together at the location," she said.

If you go on Facebook, Kurtland had a profile, and had added a picture of him and Andre as a couple. He stated he was in a relationship. Very sad.
