Saturday was a warm, sunny spring day across Southern California. But things were a bit wet in front of West Hollywood City Hall. No, make that a lot wet.
A water main burst about 3:30 p.m., sending a cascade of water shooting a hundred feet skyward.
Sheriff's deputies responded quickly, closing off Sweetzer Avenue at City Hall and diverting eastbound traffic on Santa Monica Boulevard while the LA County Fire Department crews worked get the water shut off. They finished that job about 3:50 p.m.
