Two Men Arrested in Weho for Alleged Identity Theft
Victims were located through male-oriented online dating sites.
Two men who allegedly stole identities from victims targeted on male-oriented dating websites were in custody Friday.
Joseph Najm, 25, and Jonathan Dodrill, 20, were arrested around 2 p.m. Thursday in the 1000 block of La Cienega Boulevard, said Sgt. Michael Caprioli of the Los Angeles County sheriff's West Hollywood Station.
Najm met victims through the dating sites and stole identities and "financial instruments," then used the information to purchase items and sell them on Craigslist, Caprioli said.

"During a consensual search of the hotel room he shared with suspect Dodrill, stolen items were recovered along with victims' identities," he said.
Najm was booked on suspicion of grand theft and Dodrill on suspicion of receiving stolen property, Caprioli said. Detectives were looking for additional victims who may have been targeted by the suspects.
