Police Arrest Man Who Robbed Liquor Store

A man who robbed a Sunset Boulevard liquor store on Sunday morning and the woman driving the get-away car are arrested a short time after that by West Hollywood Sheriff's deputies.

Authorities announced Monday the arrests of a man who allegedly donned a blond wig to rob a West Hollywood liquor store of $133 at gunpoint, along with a woman accused of driving the getaway vehicle.

About 2 a.m. Sunday, a man ran into Gil Turner's Liquor in the 9100 block of Sunset Boulevard, pulled out a handgun and demanded cash. He then ran outside, where a woman driving a white Ford SUV was awaiting him, according to Detective Greg Boagni of the West Hollywood Sheriff's Station.

Deputies quickly spotted the vehicle, which matched the description given by witnesses, at Fairfax Avenue and Fountain Avenue and took the couple into custody without incident. Witnesses positively identified them, Boagni said.
