No Filming Permitted on State Streets This Weekend
CLARIFICATION: No permits for shooting movies or TV shows are allowed on state roads in the city.
The state agency that offers film permits for state roads put a moratorium on film permits between July 15 and July 17 to avoid any travel problems.
There could still be filming in some neighborhoods during the closure and for more information see the site: Film LA. Film LA spokesman Philip Sokoloski said, "Although Caltrans has issued a moratorium on filming on state highway properties in L.A. County for the weekend, there is no corresponding filming moratorium in effect for the rest of the County. Our office has coordinated numerous film shoots for this upcoming weekend, though we did so with consideration toward possible traffic impacts due to the I-405 closure."
Film permits will be limited in Los Angeles County during this period due to expected severe traffic impacts of the region’s freeways and roadways resulting from the weekend closure.

The California Film Commission's moratorium is explained in detail on their website.
The moratorium also applies to all filming and film equipment parking requests for Caltrans facilities including Park & Rides and maintenance yards.

California Film Commission permit spokesperson Amy Lemisch said, "It makes sense that we don't want people traveling around the area, so all film permits are stopped for that weekend from this office as well."
Both agencies said everything will be back to normal by Monday.
