Misdemeanor Case Dismissed Against Michael Lohan

The father of actress Lindsay Lohan had been accused of preventing his former live-in girlfriend from calling 911, holding her against her will and causing her minor injuries.

A of corporal injury to a cohabitant was dismissed Tuesday at the Beverly Hills Courthouse against Michael Lohan after the prosecution announced it was unable to locate the alleged victim in the case.

"We will not refile," said Sandi Gibbons of the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

The 51-year-old father of actress Lindsay Lohan was charged March 23 with the misdemeanor count two days after an alleged run-in with a former live-in girlfriend, Kate Major, in West Hollywood. He had  to the charges.

Lohan was held in custody March 22 for allegedly , holding her against her will and causing her minor injuries, according to a report.

His attorney, Dana Cole, said Lohan was "obviously very relieved" that the case was dismissed.
