Michael Lohan Charged in Domestic Violence Case

Bail has been set at $30,000 for the father of Lindsay Lohan after he allegedly held his girlfriend against her will, inflicting minor injuries.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney has filed a misdemeanor charge of "inflicting injury on a cohabitant" against Michael Lohan, Lindsay Lohan's father, for alleged domestic violence involving his live-in girlfriend. Bail was set at $30,000, according to Lt. Del Mese of the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station. 

Lohan, 50, was for allegedly preventing his girlfriend from calling 911, holding her against her will and causing minor injuries late Monday, sheriff's deputies said.

According to the police report, West Hollywood Sheriff's Station personnel received a call around 9 p.m. from Lohan's ex-girlfriend Kate Major regarding a domestic disturbance at their residence in West Hollywood, TMZ reported.

Lohan, 50, was arrested near the  after deputies found him walking in the 8800 block of Santa Monica Boulevard, said Sgt. John Ratto. 

Lohan was booked and later transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after he complained of a medical condition not related to the incident, according to the sheriff's statement. He was cited for the charge and released from the hospital at 4:30 p.m. on $250 bail, according to City News Service.

Lohan is scheduled to appear at Beverly Hills Court, Division 2, on Monday for his arraignment, according to the District Attorney's Office.
