Man Stabbed in Face with Fork Outside Rainbow Bar & Grill

The female suspect flees on foot eastbound on Sunset Boulevard on Wednesday night before sheriff's deputies' arrive.

A woman stabbed a man above the eyes with a fork in the parking lot of the  on Wednesday evening, said Sgt. Morien.

Deputies were flagged down around 7:30 p.m. regarding a possible assault with deadly weapon after a security guard broke up an argument between a man and a woman behind the bar, Morien said.

"The suspect got into a physical altercation with the victim in the parking lot, so we don't know if they knew each other, if they were boyfriend/girlfriend or what the deal was," Morien said. "The suspect didn't give us all that information to go off of."

The victim, who suffered puncture wounds above the eye and to the face, was treated at the scene by . He refused transport to a hospital, Morien said.

The suspect fled on foot eastbound on Sunset Boulevard, out of view before sheriff's deputies' arrival. An investigation is under way, said Morien.
