Investigators Ask Public for Help in Halloween Costume Carnaval Fiery Death

Sheriff's homicide detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man who was engulfed in flames during the West Hollywood Halloween Costume Carnaval Thursday.

The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Detectives are asking for the public's assistance to determine the source of the ignition or how the victim became engulfed in flames, according to the LASD.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500.
