Firefighters Put Out Flames in Apartment Building

LA County Fire Department says fire was reported early Monday morning in a West Hollywood apartment building.

Los Angeles County firefighters spent 25 minutes battling a blaze in the attic of a West Hollywood apartment building Monday morning, confining fire damage to one unit, a dispatch supervisor said.

The fire was reported at 3 a.m. in the attic of one unit of the two-story building at 1445 North Hayworth Ave., said Los Angeles County Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Miguel Ornelas.

Forty firefighters put out the flames in 25 minutes, Ornelas said. No injuries were reported.
