County Fire Confirms: N. Crescent Hts Fire Accidental

After an arson investigation, Los Angeles County Investigators have confirmed that the fire was sparked accidentally.

Inspector Quvondo Johnson of the Los Angeles County Fire Department Confirmed on Monday afternoon that arson has been ruled out as the cause of a fire that ripped through an apartment building on 1424 N. Crescent Heights Blvd., injuring three and killing one dog.

TMZ was the first to report that the fire that tore through the apartment of 26-year-old "Twilight" and "Pan-Am" star Ashley Green on Friday, March 22 was caused by an unattended candle.

However, shortly thereafter, investigators announced that the fire was being investigated as an arson.

On Monday morning, TMZ confirmed that that candle was the cause.

More than 60 firefighters, including Los Angeles County Fire personnel, responded, according to Los Angeles Fire Department Spokesperson Katherine Main. The fire was declared knocked down in less than 20 minutes.
