Wednesday's Scoop: What Happened to the Employment Non-Discrimination Act?

That's the question speakers from the Williams Institute will seek to answer this evening at the West Hollywood Library.

Main Event: Free Lecture

Speakers from the Williams Institute will discuss how employment discrimination still burdens the LGBT community in a free lecture at the Community Meeting Room at the new West Hollywood Library. The 6:15 p.m. lecture will be followed by a question and answer period and a dessert reception, ending at 8 p.m. Free validated parking is available in the parking structure on El Tovar Place off Robertson Boulevard between Melrose Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard. Sunset Strip Pick: Imagine Dragons

Blogger Brent X Mendoza recommends heading to the world famous Viper Room this evening. Touring in support of their recently released EP, the band continues to bring growing numbers of fans energetic and anthemic live performances across the U.S., says Mendoza. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $12.

The new lecture series co-sponsored by the city and CalArts continues at the West Hollywood Library. All Theatre, All the Time, Now: Walter Benhamin, Asja Lacis and the Proletarian Children’s Theatre will feature a conversation with Nicholas Ridout from Queen Mary, University of London from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Council Chambers. Admission is free.

The Forecast: High of 85

Expect unseasonably warm weather today in West Hollywood. The National Weather Service forecasts calm wind and sunny, with a high near 85. Temperatures are expected to drop to around 57.
