Wednesday's Scoop: Life History Writing and VolunTeen Awards

Special class at Weho Library helps get your life history written down on paper for future generations. Meanwhile, the VolunTeen Awards in Plummer Park honor Weho's generous teen volunteers.

Greetings and welcome to City Scoop. Today is Wednesday, May 30, the 151st day of 2012. Here’s what’s going on in West Hollywood today.

Want to share memories of your life with your children, grandchildren, great-grand children and other relatives? Here’s a place to get started. Author Bea Mitz is conducting Life History writing classes. You don’t have to know how to write, just have memories you want to share. Mitz will help you with the process. The Life History writing classes meet Wednesdays from 2-4 p.m. in the West Hollywood Room on the second floor of the .

Teen Volunteers

West Hollywood has some amazing teens who help out in the community. The city is offering special recognition to those generous teens by honoring them with the VolunTeen Awards. Meeting in the Community Center in , the event kicks off at 5:30 p.m. with a reception, followed by the awards ceremony and entertainment at 6 p.m.

Randall and his Nastya** Animals

Millions worldwide (45 million to be exact) have seen the YouTube Sensation “The Crazy Nastya** Honey Badger.” Randall, the man who narrated that video, has become a celebrity because of it and has even released a book, albeit one very much for adults, Honey Badger Don't Care: Randall's Guide to Crazy, Nastya** Animals.
