Main Event: Tendrils
Four-time Emmy winning composer Laura Karpman's Different Lanes for string quartet and iPad performed by the Pacific Serenades is having its world premiere in Council Chambers at 8 p.m. The new piece will be played alongside Beethoven's String Quartet in D major, Op. 18, No. 3, and Ravel's Sonata for Violin & Cello. Single tickets are $34 and student tickets (with ID) are available for $5 at the door.

Brent Mendoza's Sunset Strip Pick: Desert Nights
Take advantage of the winter warm spell and check out hotel’s chic acoustic showcase. This week, don’t miss live sets by indie pop duo Owl & The Pussycat, Dawn Mitschele and Rachel Dean in the Cactus Lounge. Performances start at 7:30 p.m. and admission is free!

City Meetings:
- The city's Transgender Advisory Board is meeting at 7 p.m. in the Community Conference Room of City Hall. Unfinished business includes a discussion on the Day of Remembrance, a subcommittee about bullying, and a calendar of transgender special events, according to the agenda.

- Temperatures are dropping, just a little. The National Weather Service forecasts sunny, with a high near 68. North northwest wind will be around 5 mph becoming south southeast. West Hollywood will see mostly clear skies this evening, with a low around 49.
