Greetings, and welcome to today's City Scoop. Filing your taxes is never fun, and now that it's just about over, you have a reason to celebrate. A number of local businesses are providing discounted offers to give West Hollywood's taxpayers a little extra relief.
1. Rock & Reilly's Dry Tax Day
Get rowdy on the Sunset Strip today. The neighborhood pub is kicking off a "Dry Tax Day" celebration at noon, and will be serving up Tax Day specials: $6 IRS Car Bombs, $5 "tax collector" shots and a delinquency burger.

Drown your sorrows over at the upscale steak house. BLT is offering a "Tax Relief" féte at its finest, with half-off all alcoholic beverages all day long. All cocktails, beer, wines by the glass, and bottles of wine will be sold at 50 percent off.

New York Times best-selling author Seth Grahme-Smith (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, Pride, Predjudice & Zombies) will discuss his new book, Unholy Night, the next evolution in dark historical revisionism, at 7 p.m. The event is free!
4. Pole-chella
is holding the world’s first and only pole dancing and karaoke competition, featuring stand-up comedy, skits, surprise celebrity guests and big cash prizes for the champions. Doors open at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 day of show.
A PEN Center Emerging Voices fellow will lead a book discussion on selected themes of Ray Bradbury's 1953 dystopian novel Fahrenheit 451 at the as part of the city's . The event is free and will take place at 7 p.m. in the library's Community Meeting Room.
