The city’s Business License Commission will meet to review violations to the conditional use permit for Tradition Tapas Kitchen/Forbidden Bar and Lounge. The restaurant at 8512 Santa Monica Blvd. has been cited for noise violations and operating past its designated closing time without a special events permit. The commission meets at 7 p.m. in .

Women and Books

The monthly Women and Books book club, meets to discuss the July reading – Paradise by Toni Morrison. The novel follows the struggles of an Oklahoma farming town founded a by nine African-American clans in the 1940 to maintain its founding principles as the years go by. The discussion starts at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the . Admission is free.

Kevin Nealon

Weeds and Saturday Night Live alum Kevin Nealon hosts an unpredictable night of comedy at the . “The Kevin Nealon Show” sees the funny man bring an array of comics on stage to engage him in a battle of the laughs. The results leave the audience cackling in its spontaneousness and ingenuity. Nealon and his assorted comic friends take the stage at 8 p.m.
