Main Event: Center for the Study of Political Graphics Event

CSPG presents a conversation with political cartoonist Mr. Fish (Los Angeles Times, The Village Voice, The Advocate) and Robert Scheer, the editor-in-chief of TruthDig and the host of the National Public Radio talk show Left, Right, and Center. City Meeting: Human Services Commission Meeting

The Commission will receive the year-end report for social services programs, 2010-2011, and hold a discussion with the L.A. Gay and Lesbian Center and the National Council of Jewish Women from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Rooms 5 and 6 at . Read the agenda here.

The Sunset Strip: Book Soup Signing

Matt Taylor, Joe Alves and Paul McPhee will discuss and sign copies of Jaws: Memories from Martha's Vineyard at 7 p.m. The compendium includes a foreword by director Steven Spielberg, interviews with production designer Joe Alves, screenwriter Carl Gottlieb, location casting director Shari Rhodes, and more.

The Forecast: Possible Showers

The National Weather Service forecasts a 30 percent chance of showers, otherwise partly sunny, with a high near 65. Temperatures are expected to drop to around 46. Wind will remain between 5 and 10 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 15 miles per hour.
