The National Council of Jewish Women/Los Angeles presents a free community event about the state of women’s rights in Israel. Guest speakers include Congregation Kol Ami's Rabbi Denise L. Eger and Julie Gruenbaum Fax, senior writer at the Jewish Journal. RSVP at 323-852-8503.

Sunset Strip: Please God Let it Be Herpes

Humorist writer Carlos Kotkin is coming to at 7 p.m. to discuss his new book, Please God Let it Be Herpes: A Heartfelt Quest For Love and Companionship, in which he shares his "romantic conquests with a slew of childhood crushes, insane yogis, a Playboy vixen, a STD host, the flaky, the deaf, and the just plain dumb," according to The Sunset Strip.

The Forecast: High of 61

The National Weather Service forecasts a chance of showers mainly between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., with a 30 percent chance of precipitation. Expect mostly cloudy weather in West Hollywood, with gusts as high as 25 miles per hour. Temperatures will reach a high near 61, droping to a low around 43.
