Friday's Scoop: Tony Clifton, Comics and Dancing

Lounge lizard Tony Clifton lives on at the Comedy Store, while the Laugh Factory has all-star comedy night. Meanwhile, there are plenty of places to dance the night away.

Tony Clifton lives on

You just can’t keep a good lounge lizard down. After booking Tony Clifton for shows twice a week in June, The is keeping Clifton around a while longer. During July, he’ll be performing on Friday nights backed by burlesque dancers. Clifton is the audience-abusing lounge singer character created by the late Andy Kaufman. Despite Kaufman’s death in 1984, Clifton lives on. Show time is 9 p.m.

All Star Comedy

Start the weekend with some jokes as the offers three different shows, at 8 p.m., 10 p.m. and midnight. Catch some laughs with LA’s top comics including PK, Jeremiah Watkins, Frazer Smith, Tom Dreesen, Dom Irrera and Tony Baker.

Dance the Night Away

Dancing Queens have plenty of choices on a Friday night in Weho. From the giant dance floor at the to the two floors of dancing at with , , Ultra Suede and in between, there’s always a room on the dance floor for guys, and gals, who want to shake their booty.

  • Starry Eyes with Transport, Wolfrage and Sammy Sezo at Roxy Theater. Show starts at 8:30 p.m.
