1. Transgender March Against Violence

  • Where/When: Plummer Park, 7377 Santa Monica Blvd. / 1:30 p.m.
  • Why Go: Sponsored by the West Hollywood Transgender Advisory Board, the march begins on Santa Monica Boulevard and continues to the Transgender Memorial at Crescent Heights, then back to Plummer Park. Show your solidarity by wearing the colors of the transgender flag—blue, pink and white.
  • Admission: Free

2. Decade of Dissent: Democracy in Action 1965—1975

  • Where/When: City of West Hollywood Library, 652 N. San Vicente Blvd. / 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Why Go: The Pacific Standard Time exhibition presented by the Center for the Study of Political Graphics documents the importance of political poster art in promoting the ideas and ideals of democracy during a turbulent, watershed era in California, and across the nation.
  • Admission: Free

3. Coffee with the Councilman

  • Where/When: Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, 8735 Santa Monica Blvd. / 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Why Go: Come out and meet your Councilman. It is an opportunity to meet D'Amico (if you haven't already) in an informal setting and learn about issues affecting the city of West Hollywood.
  • Admission: Free

4. 2012 Winter RockFest

Find out what's happening in West Hollywoodwith free, real-time updates from Patch.

  • Where/When: Key Club, Whisky A Go-Go and the Roxy Theatre on the Sunset Strip / 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Why Go: The concert to benefit the nonprofit after-school music program will feature more than 120 elementary and middle school bands. Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker is expected to attend. There will also be an auction of rock 'n' roll memorabilia.
  • Admission: General admission tickets are $12.

5. Crazy Enough Book Signing

  • Where/When: , 8818 W. Sunset Blvd. / 1 p.m.
  • Why Go: Reality star and singer Storm Large will present and sign copies of her new book, described by Book Soup as a "compulsively readable memoir about living with the terror of losing one's mind."
  • Admission: Free; Large's book costs $25.
