A Valentine's Date Guide for Weho Romantics

Scrambling for V-Day plans in West Hollywood? Patch has you covered.

The countdown has begun to Valentine's Day—a holiday dedicated to love and romance, and chocolate of course. But in my opinion, getting a good meal is sort of the most important part of Feb. 14.

If you have not yet nailed down a restaurant (let's face it, most of us haven't), West Hollywood Patch has rounded up the best Valentine's Day date night options the city has to offer.

Prix fixe menus are generally the way to go, but they can get a tad pricey. Probably the least expensive option is over at . The three-course meal comes to $40 per person and includes three options for each course. My picks? The Ahi tuna tartar to start, followed by the petite filet mignon as a main course, with banana bread pudding for dessert.

The couples dinner at Weho's famed American steakhouse on Santa Monica Boulevard is also a pretty good deal. The $120 double meal includes jumbo Nova Scotia lobster for two, plus a starter and two sides.

Just a few bucks more is the $65 four-course meal at French restaurant on Melrose Avenue, and then the $70 three-course dinner at on Sunset Boulevard. The prices for the latter two are per person.

If you're feeling really spendy, why not go all out at Lucques? Award-winning chef Suzanne Goin is cooking up a four-course Mediterranean dinner at $110 per person.

Other local eateries are offering special Valentine's menus. on Fairfax Avenue is hosting a "Love Letter" dinner, featuring V-Day menu items: shrimp and tarragon bisque ($7) and orange-fennel marinated chicken breast ($18), plus three themed cocktails appropriately named "Love Letter," "Tainted Love" and "Perfect Date."

And if you’re looking to get a little flirty this year, swing by to partake in a Valentine’s Day party sponsored by Grindr—the app that maps out prospective love interests nearby. V-Day drink specials will be served all night.
