Carissa Phelps was a survivor of domestic sex trafficking when she was a child.

Please join us for a short screening of Carissa: A film by David Sauvage.  Following the film, our panelists,  including Ms. Phelps, Judge Groman of the L.A. County Juvenile Court; Fadwa Assad, Children of the Night and Special Agent Debbie Deem a victim specialist for the FBI. will discuss the challenges faced by children who have been neglected and sexually exploited, often leading them to time in the juvenile delinquency system.  We will also learn about the solutions being proposed by the Courts, law enforcement, and community organizations.
