Arbor Day 2011 Community Tree-Planting

The City of West Hollywood will hold an Arbor Day 2011 Community Tree Planting and plant 15 Pink Trumpet trees on Saturday, April 16, 2011 starting at 9 a.m. along the north east corner of Romaine Street and Formosa Avenue.

Tree planting volunteers do not need to have any prior planting experience. On-site training and supervision will be provided. The Community Tree Planting will start off with a short “how to” planting session and a discussion about the importance and value that trees play in our urban environment.

In the past, tree planting efforts have left a positive legacy in West Hollywood and newly-planted trees provide many neighborhoods with new urban green spaces where none previously existed.
