West Hollywood has same great options for dining out, but exactly where should you take a first date?

It is the time you’ve been waiting for, perhaps working your way up to it for months, weeks or days—the first date.

Now that you’ve lured them into all that is captivating, where are you going to take them? You want to make a great first impression, hook them in before they get to really know you, so where are you going to go?

There is always something going on in West Hollywood—whether it’s a concert on Sunset, a play, comedy show at one of the many theaters in the area. Will it be just drinks, appetizers or a full course meal?

Food is the fastest way to the heart. Sure, you could invite them over for a home-cooked meal, but that could spoil them too soon and you really don’t have time to learn how to cook a home-cooked meal.

It is all so confusing, especially since you have to buy a new outfit or a used one from , get your hair done—maybe at , and do 1,000 sit-ups in preparation for the night.

Going out doesn’t have to take you to the cleaners. These are just a few of West Hollywoodian’s (trying out that word) favorites and all have Happy Hours menus.

1. Echi Sushi - 8267 Santa Monica Blvd.

This place has a fun laid casual  back vibe, indoor and outdoor seating, along with a Happy Hour that lasts from noon until 10 p.m. That’s enough to just go there. With such reasonable prices (even off the HH menu), you would think that the quality would suffer, but you’re wrong. Everything from the food to the staff is A+ . My waiter Benji told me that it really gets going on Friday and Saturday nights with $4 Sake bombs. That could be good or bad for a first date.

2.  - 8768 Sunset Blvd.

Mirabelle is a family-owned staple on the Sunset Strip since 1971. With its cozy booths, dim lighting and full menu served until between 12:30 p.m. and 1 a.m. most nights, it’s a neighborhood favorite. The HH from 4-7 p.m. and the outside/inside smoking patio is sure to please. Live music for your entertainment on Mondays and Wednesdays will knock up the seduction factor a couple notches. With a large majority of the staff being there for years, they are experts in making your dining experience memorable.

3.  - 8333 Santa Monica Blvd.

Serving health-conscious cuisine, wood fired pizza and other delicious delicacies for over 12 years, Basix Cafe is a tried and true West Hollywood establishment.  in West Hollywood for over 12 years. With either its casual spacious outdoor patio or the more private accommodations inside and an assortment of delicious cocktails, all that is left to you and your date is the conversation.

4.  - 8400 Santa Monica Blvd.

The fireplace is what comes to most when they think of Cafe La Boheme. Yet, I would have to say it is all of the very sexy cozy private dining sections throughout the restaurant, including the upstairs section overlooking the restaurant, complete with a dumbwaiter straight from the bar, where there is a different specialty martini available every night. With its romantic atmosphere—leather, dark cherry walls and a gorgeous chandelier, this is definitely a place where you are most likely to get a little action after.

No matter where your first date may happen, have fun and be yourself. And if you have a favorite first date place, please let us know about it!
