MARY - LDTE Geffen Playhouse

Lower Depth Theatre Ensemble presents their latest IN DEPTH/Play Reading Series selection, MARY written by Thomas Bradshaw, directed by Tony Abatemarco with dramaturgy by Dylan Southard.

At the height of what Time magazine dubbed "AIDS hysteria" in 1983, college student David invites his boyfriend home to his parents' house in Maryland where nothing has changed since the 1800s—including the slave quarters. Confronting hypocrisy and oppression with exhilarating wit, Bradshaw's incendiary work is "likely to leave you speechless!" (The New York Times).

The cast features Saidah Arrika Ekulona, Larry Bates, Laurie O’Brien, Carl Weintraub, Nick Molari, Dane Michael Oliver and Alex Cohen.

$5 suggested donation.  Post discussion and reception to follow.

Sunday, Feb. 9th at 6:00PM.

Geffen Playhouse/Audrey Skirball Kenis Theatre. 10866 Le Conte Avenue, Los Angeles 90024.
