National Council of Jewish Women/Los Angeles (NCJW/LA) announces the grand opening of its newest Council Thrift Shop. The opening weekend will kick off with a "Best of the Best" event featuring a selection of premium merchandise including collectibles, furniture, accessories, designer clothing, antiques, and jewelry.
Special hours for the event are Saturday, November 3, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, November 4, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The store's regular hours are Monday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for shopping and 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for dropping off donations.
NCJW/LA took over the 8,000-square-foot store from Out of the Closet and completely remodeled it inside and out. This new store is bigger and better than Council Thrift Shops' former North Fairfax location across the street. It has plenty of room to sell even more great stuff, it has better parking, and it is much easier for people to drop off their donations. And whether you are shopping or donating, you should feel good knowing it is supporting NCJW/LA's programs and services for in-need and at-risk women, children, and families.
There are nine Council Thrift Shops throughout Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley. All purchases and donations support NCJW/LA's Women Helping Women Community Counseling & Support Services, Women Helping Children Art & Literacy Programs for Youth, and other essential programs and services for the community.
