AT&T is rolling out the red carpet Saturday for West Hollywood’s canine friends.
Weho dog owners are encouraged to bring their companions to the new store, located at the northeast corner of La Brea Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard, for a Valentine's-themed costume contest and grand opening event from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Judging the contest will be Mayor John Duran, along with Days of Our Lives cast members Kate Mansi (Abby Deveraux) and Freddie Smith (Sonny Kiriakis), who played the first gay character on the show.
All three will present checks to nonprofit organizations, PAWS/LA for $10,000 and the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles, which will be receiving $5,000. AT&T is donating an additional $5 to PAWS/LA with purchase of any 4G LTE smartphone.
The event is free and open to the public.
