Weho Launches New Pedestrian and Bicycle Mobility Plan Website

The website engages the community's pedestrians and bikers with the click of a mouse.

The city has launched a new interactive website as it works toward bicycle and pedestrian-related improvements for its residents and visitors.

The "mobile-ready" strategy serves to better engage a growing part of the community who prefer social and interactive media over attending public meetings, according to a press release. A project-specific blog provides updates for "all things ped and bike" as well as a 10-question survey on how to improve the walking and biking experience.

An interactive map, WeHo Shareabouts, encourages users to pin their suggestions for improvements.

A series of community workshops, meetings and walking and bicycling tours to gather input from the community on improvements are also in the works.
