Weho Chamber of Commerce Honors Four Businesses

Chamber of Commerce gives Economic Development Awards to the International House of Blues Foundation, Maximillian Gallery, The Los Angeles Art Association and Andaz West Hollywood.

The following is an edited press release from the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.

West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual State of The City (SOTC), an economic showcase on Thursday in Fiesta Hall at Plummer Park and honored four businesses with Economic Development Awards.

These four businesses – two non-profits and two private sectors – were chosen because they demonstrated how businesses can partner with art organizations and non-profits as economic drivers for both business and destinations.

The arts are a dynamic driver for business and municipalities. Music, dance, storytelling, photography, fashion, design, performance and visual art draw passionate audiences. Connecting businesses to that vitality creates an expanded customer base and brings greater exposure for the artist or art organization.

Historically, West Hollywood has always been a destination for prominent artists. Showcasing new generations of artistic expression makes history and that’s very positive for the artist and for business. There’s no limit to what we can create when we collaborate.
