The second week in September saw West Hollywood shoppers dressed in their finest for , a half-dozen employees protesting outside the Andaz hotel, and a reported case of in nearby Beverly Hills.

Sheriff’s deputies blocked off Santa Monica Boulevard between Hayworth and Fairfax for two hours Tuesday night as they investigated a , hunting for suspects believed to still be inside the building.

Also that evening, the SLS Hotel hosted . A portion of the proceeds from the multi-course dinner benefitted art programs at West Hollywood Elementary.

A former was sentenced Wednesday to nine years in state prison after pleading no contest to attempted voluntary manslaughter in the 2010 shooting of her husband in West Hollywood.
