Tuesday's Scoop: Smoking Ban, Tree Recycling and Weho Weather

Organizers of Block the Ban are asking supporters to air their views about the outdoor smoking ordinance at the Jan. 18 City Council meeting.

Smoking Ban: Block the Ban organizers sent an e-mail to their supporters today discussing Weho's proposed outdoor smoking ban ordinance. In its newsletter, organizers said they'd like supporters to come to the City Council meeting on Jan. 18 to press the panel to include amendments to current definitions of "enclosed spaces," which could help narrow the ban.  

Weho Weather: West Hollywood will see a mostly sunny day with temperatures dropping to 59 degrees by 5 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. There is an 80 percent of rain, according to the National Weather Service, mostly after 10 p.m.

Tree Recycling: The city of West Hollywood is now offering  until Jan. 15. Just place your tree at the curb for collection on your regular trash day. The city is asking residents to remove all decorations and the tree's base. Do not place your tree in a plastic bag. Doing so can prevent your tree from being recycled and/or picked up.
