Oscar Celebrations In and Around West Hollywood

Plenty of celebs will be floating around the neighborhood this weekend for the Academy Awards and after parties.

Oscar weekend is here and we're keeping you in the loop on the biggest social events taking place around the neighborhood. We've got details on viewing parties, restaurant and business deals and Oscar parties. Sure, the Academy Awards may be held at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, but once the awards are over, celebs come to Weho to celebrate! Keep your eyes open and have your camera ready because you may run into an Oscar winner this weekend. Stay classy, West Hollywood!

Hollywood and the TV Industry—Saturday

You'll feel like a superstar once you're at  enjoying the city sights and its live music event called Mondrian Sessions. Enjoy a performance by Zola Jesus and other top indie artists and DJs as they perform poolside. The event is free to attend,  but reservations are required: skybarla@morganshotelgroup.com. will bring together a group of panelists on Saturday to help guide you into the realm of the entertainment industry. The event, “The Jestfest: A Panel of Hollywood Industry Executives,” will feature a conversation with Anthony Hill (writer, Meet the Browns), Traci Blackwell (former VP of Current at the CW) and Dave Becky (manager, 3 Arts Entertainment) as they discuss  their experience in TV and film. Feel like a Star—All Weekend 

Singer Moby, actor Pierce Brosnan and The Social Network’s solo twin Armie Hammer are among the celebs who were spotted at the  restaurant this week, according to the folks over at TheSunsetStrip.com. The new "farm-to-table style" restaurant offers diners some amazing views of West Hollywood. (Psst!! The Eveleigh recently launched a weekend brunch that offers organic cocktails.) Bring your best smile and rub elbows with some locals and maybe an A-list celeb!

The Elton John AIDS Foundation will host its 19th Annual Academy Awards viewing party at the Pacific Design Center. The dinner event raises millions of dollars for AIDS research. Click here for more information.

The annual Vanity Fair party will be held at the hotel in West Hollywood on Oscar night. Good luck getting in, but if you happen to swing by and snap some photos, feel free to send them our way.

The Fox Searchlight after party will be held at My House in Los Angeles. 

The Academy Awards telecast will begin at 5 p.m. on Sunday.
