Monday's Scoop: Centrum Sunset Project Back on Council Agenda

Greetings, and welcome to today's City Scoop. Here's what's happening Monday in West Hollywood:

City Council Meeting

There are a number of big-ticket items on tonight's City Council agenda, including a continued public hearing to consider a 47,504-square-foot commercial development containing retail, gym/spa and office space at 8801 Sunset Blvd. and Councilman John D'Amico's proposal to revise the municipal code provisions related to the payment of on-site affordable housing in lieu fees. Doing so will "create safer, healthier living environments and reduce the size and impact of overly large new construction on our commercial streets and neighborhoods," according to the staff report. The meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers.

O.J. is Innocent Book Signing

William Dear makes the controversial but compelling case in his book, O.J. is Innocent and I Can Prove It: The Shocking Truth about the Murders of Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman, that it was in fact the "overlooked suspect" - O. J.’s eldest son Jason - who committed the grisly murders. Catch an interesting discussion at at 7 p.m.
