Man Pleads 'No Contest' to Sexual Assault

Alan Paul Wurtzel is charged with sexually assaulting a woman he met on Match.com after a date in West Hollywood.

Alan Paul Wurtzel, a 67-year-old resident of Pacific Palisades, has pleaded no contest to felony sexual assault by restraint, the LA County Superior Court announced Wednesday. Wurtzel allegedly met a female television executive in early 2010 on Match.com, according to the court.

The woman's attorney told reporters that on their second date, Wurtzel and the woman went to in West Hollywood. The court said Wurtzel then drove the woman home and followed her into her residence, "where he sexually assaulted her while holding her down."

In exchange for Wurtzel's plea Wednesday, "one count of forcible oral copulation will be dismissed," according to a press release from the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

Wurtzel will be back in court Sept. 19 for sentencing. According to Deputy District Attorney Jane Creighton, Wurtzel faces "365 days in jail, five years' formal probation and he must register as a sex offender for life."
