Friday's Scoop: Smoking Ban Protest, Weho Goes Red and Parking Rates

Weho Goes Red: As a way to commemorate National Wear Red Day and raise awareness about women and heart disease, the city of West Hollywood is going red and lighting up City Hall starting today until next Friday. You can stop by City Hall and pick up some information about heart health awareness. If you'd like more information call 323-848-6460. 

Smoking Ban Protest: A group of people who are opposed to the proposed smoking ordinance will be  today in West Hollywood. The group will meet in front of Fiesta Cantina. The protest will take place from 6-8 p.m. (Psst! In case you didn't know, the will take place Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the West Hollywood Park auditorium).

24 Hour Fitness Reopening Celebration: The on Santa Monica Boulevard has reopened after four months of renovations. The sports club now has upgraded equipment with personal viewing screens, a Kids Club, an outdoor practice basketball court and other amenities such as towel service. To help celebrate, the gym staff is inviting the public to attend a grand reopening celebration Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be free fitness classes, prizes and giveaways.
