New England-style seafood restaurant Connie & Ted's is slated to open soon in West Hollywood, Eater L.A. reported.

After some construction delays caused in part by the eatery's wave-like roof, a public opening is scheduled for June 4, according to Eater.

The restaurant replaces shuttered Weho coffee shop and diner Silver Spoon at 8171 Santa Monica Blvd. Silver Spoon was originally planned to be remodeled into Connie & Ted’s, but was almost completely demolished instead.

I thought it was already open for business? Sure looks like it. Not sure it's a place that will last but best of luck. They did a lot of work. 'm always miss the previous business but that's history.

Missed out on taking a picture of the old facade that indicated the building was ether a gas station or auto repair garage originally.

It was Theodore's and after that Silver Spoons. Both restaurants. I don't know before 1980? Very little is recognizable since those good ole days. The gay bar Mother Load looks the same pretty much. They opened up the front but that's about it.

So was this a remodel as their permits said? Sure looks like a whole new structure to me. Even so, am looking forward to trying. Being from the East Coast I do miss good seafood which is more than fish!

wesley, they kept the back wall of silver spoon so they could call it a "remodel" and save money....stupid, i know, but that's they way it works in LA/weho

Finally we will have in Los Angeles and even better, it’s in West Hollywood an East coast style seafood restaurant. There has always been so many good ones back on the east coast. I love Legal Seafood from Boston and Florida, BLT Fish in New York, Bookbinders, which used to be a landmark in Philadelphia before it closed. I also like the Oyster bar and restaurant in Grand Central Station. I wish Ted & Connie’s much luck and can’t wait until they open.
