'20/20' Special to Feature Sunset Boulevard

ABC News journalist Jay Schadler visits the iconic 22-mile street for a two-hour special airing Saturday.

What does a war veteran turned actor, a band playing at The Roxy, a teen runaway and a musical group at Hollywood High have in common?

Sunset Boulevard, of course.

We read these type of feature stories all the time, but ABC News aims to shed new light on the subject in an upcoming 20/20 two-hour special, airing Saturday at 9 p.m.

Their take? The iconic 22-mile street, of which the section going through West Hollywood is best known, has attracted people gifted with talent for a century. Now there's a new cast of dreamers.

We just got a glimpse of the 20/20 promo and it caught our attention. ABC News correspondent Jay Schadler is calling the street possibly the "most dangerous place for dreamers in America."

He has been sharing small updates leading up to the show on Twitter. He wrote: "I promise it will not look or sound like traditional news mag. This is a leap toward multiple narratives and music from the street."
