David Cooley, owner of the Abbey in West Hollywood, this week unveiled plans for Cooley’s, a gastropub restaurant and beer garden. Aiming for a 2014 opening, the restaurant will be located at 8936 Santa Monica Blvd.

The plans will be submitted to the City of West Hollywood for approval at a hearing next week. The design draws inspiration from the neighboring West Hollywood Park, which borders its rear patio, according to an email from a rep of the restaurant.

Take a look at the attached pictures of the plans. What do you think? Tell us in the comments.

SBE Entertainment Group owns the Abbey. I do not think Cooley is part of the ownership anymore. He previously owned the Abbey but sold it and was on staff as a consultant.

There are not enough bars in West Hollywood so lets open another one. More opportunity to promote bad behavior with alcoholism and liver disease. Good way to make money David by destroying the health of the gay ones who go to these places to get plastered.

Will it create JOBS? Yeah? Why the heck not?
