Magnolia Bakery Shuttered by Health Department

The temporary closure is related to mechanical and engineering issues with the building and not health code or sanitary violations, the shop says.

Just two weeks after its grand opening, Magnolia Bakery has been temporarily closed.

"Due to building department issues raised by the Los Angeles Health Department, which have affected our permit status, we are unable to open for service," said a Magnolia representative.

"Please be assured that these are only mechanical and engineering issues and are not related to any sanitary or health code violations."
