Japanese Apparel Retailer Opening 1st SoCal Shop at Beverly Center

Uniqlo is expected to open in fall, here and at the South Coast Plaza.

A popular Japanese retailer often compared to Gap is opening its first two Southern California outlets this fall, one in the Beverly Center.

Uniqlo is known for casual clothing made of cotton and denim. It’s owned by Japanese holding company Fast Retailing Co., parent to Helmut Lang and Theory.

The second will open at the South Coast Plaza in Orange County.

“We are very excited to be opening at South Coast Plaza this fall and thrilled to introduce our brand to yet another group of future fans at this iconic retail destination ,” said Larry Meyer, CEO of Uniqlo USA, in a press release.
