Parking Structure in Century City Collapses

Disneyland Raises Prices to $96 a Person

"Like any business, we periodically evaluate our pricing and make adjustments based on a variety of factors," said Disneyland spokeswoman Suzi Brown.

As of today it will cost visitors to Disneyland Resort an additional $4 per person to get in, according to the Orange County Register. That raises admission from $92 to $96 per person. The increase comes at a time when attendance is surging, in part because of the Cars Land attraction, which opened in June 2012.

"Like any business, we periodically evaluate our pricing and make adjustments based on a variety of factors," Disneyland spokeswoman Suzi Brown told the Register. "A ticket to our theme parks represents a great value, particularly when you look at the breadth and quality of attractions and entertainment we offer."

In recent years, Disneyland admission has increased annually, and has nearly doubled since 2003, the Register reported.

Amid near-record attendance, sales of Southern California Passports, which allow local residents to visit more than 200 days per year, including Sundays, for one price are being suspended. The move is designed to reduce crowding on Sundays, the Register said.

People who already have the Passports, and those that have expired within a 90-day period, will still be able to renew

Southern California Select passes, which do not include weekends, are still available.

Actually $96 dollars is quite cheap for people living abroad...blame it on the weak dollar and our world economy

As for being unemployed and being a single father of 9 kids, the dream of going to Disneyland for a day is far out of reach. Unless, some kind person out there is willing to donate, my poor children will never have a chance to experience the Happiest Place on Earth.

LOL, check this graph out. You cannot convince me that, were he alive today, Mr. Walt Disney wouldn't be doing a series of cartwheels in his office. http://philiplelyveld.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/disney-ticket-022714.png
