Panel Discussion Will Educate the Public About Health Care Reform

The National Council of Jewish Women will host the panel discussion on Aug. 22.

The following is a press release from the National Council of Jewish Women, Los Angeles.

In the latest in a series of free community programs presented by National Council of Jewish Women/Los Angeles (NCJW/LA), a panel of experts will address what the Affordable Care Act (ACA) is and is not, including what health care reform means to women. This educational event will be held on Wednesday, August 22, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at NCJW/LA Council House, 543 N. Fairfax Ave., Los Angeles, 90036.

"National Council of Jewish Women worked hard to achieve the enactment of the Affordable Care Act and the many advances for women's health it affords," says Donna Benjamin, NCJW/LA Advocacy Committee member and program chair. "Many people are either confused by or not aware of the ACA--referred to by some as 'Obamacare'--and its benefits. We are presenting this event to educate the public about how it will impact their lives."
