Occupy West Hollywood Will March Dec. 3 [Video]

Local gay activists are rallying for the 99 percent in solidarity with the 'Occupy' movement.

Occupy West Hollywood, a grassroots group formed out of the national "Occupy Wall Street" movement, has planned a gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender march in next month to coincide with other marches planned nationwide.

Participants will gather at 10 a.m. on Dec. 3 at Santa Monica Boulevard and Vista Street, and will march together "for the 99 percent" until 1 p.m., according to the group's website.

An event post on the website says the group is planning a "peaceful" GLBT protest. "Bring signs, friends, a peaceful protest attitude, and lots of energy," announced Timothy Andrew Hane.

The movement's three-minute YouTube video states:

It's the 21st century in the United States of America. The richest 1% of the people have more than 25% of the wealth. We are not the 10 percent. We are the 99%. There is a stripe in our flag for every person, every faith, every injustice. We carry it proudly. We have led our country out of the wilderness. We can lead our country into greatness beyond greed.
