Swingin' at Plummer Park
The Great American Swing Band delivers an upbeat, admission-free performance to members of the community Sunday afternoon.
The West Hollywood Arts and Cultural Affairs Commission presented the upbeat musical renditions of The Great American Swing Band admission-free to a crowd of senior citizens, couples, parents and children at Plummer Park on Sunday afternoon.
The performance was the fourth installment in the five-part Summer Sounds series, offered through the city of West Hollywood.
Andrew Campbell, the staff liaison to the Arts and Cultural Affairs Commission, could be found running back and forth helping the event run smoothly.

"[The series is] a really fun way to animate our parks and provide some wonderful free events for our residents and visitors to our city," Campbell said.
His fellow commissioner, Madeleine Rackley, noted the eclectic nature of the summer lineup. Artists have consisted of “soloists, string bands, electronica, vocal groups, jazz groups—just everything with the goal in mind of bringing the community together and promoting the arts," Rackley said.
