Saturday's Scoop: Kara Dioguardi Coming to Book Soup
The former "American Idol" judge will be discussing her new memoir at noon.
The former American Idol judge and music producer will be discussing and signing A Helluva High Note: Surviving Life, Love, and American Idol at at 12 p.m. Dioguardi's book is $24.99 and can be purchased on the Book Soup website here.

The first Saturday in May, participating comic book shops across North America and around the world give away comic books. Designated titles are up for grabs at Meltdown Comics (7522 Sunset Blvd.) and Golden Apple (7018 Melrose Ave.). Look for The Grilled Cheese Truck, special guests, other giveaways, free food and even a bounce house for the kids.

Dedicated to Victory in Europe Day, the Russian Advisory Board presents virtuoso performers Jacob and Jacob in 's Fiesta Hall at 3:30 p.m. The concert will feature popular, classic, Jewish and Moldavian folk music. Suggested donation is $15.

Start your night out over at the Key Club at 8 p.m. with Terri Nunn & Berlin, Random Ninjas, piEL. The Dirty Heads, with New Politics and Pacific Dub, will perform at the House of Blues on the Sunset Strip at 9 p.m. Over at The Roxy, The Silent Comedy, The Steelwells and Army Navy perform at 10:30 p.m.
