Eight movies are scheduled today at the annual LGBT film festival including the always popular musical sing-along movie, this year featuring 2007's "Hairspray" starring John Travolta in drag, plus Zac Efron, Queen Latifah and James Marsden.

Eight programs are on tap for Outfest’s eighth day. The annual gay and lesbian film festival is keeping movie-lovers busy catching up with the latest offerings of documentaries, drama, comedies and shorts.

Today’s programs are being held at three different venues:

  • Directors Guild of America (DGA) theatre (7920 Sunset Blvd. at Hayworth Avenue)
  • John Anson Ford Amphitheatre (2580 Cahuenga Blvd.)
  • REDCAT (Roy and Edna Disney/CalArts Theatre) at the Disney Concert Hall (631 W. 2nd Street) in downtown Los Angeles.

Same day tickets can be purchased at the venue box office one hour prior to screening time. Advance tickets for screenings happening later in the festival can be purchased in the DGA lobby.
