Musical 'Rent' to Open in Weho

The acclaimed Broadway musical Rent comes to West Hollywood for a three-week run starting Thursday at The Actor's Company/The Other Space Theatre.

Rent is a rock musical that won four Tony Awards and the Pulitzer Prize when it debuted on Broadway. The show is set in New York City in the early 1990s and is a modern adaptation of the tragic opera La Boheme. It delves into themes such as living with AIDS, friendship, love, struggle and death.

Rent was written by Jonathan Larson, and this Weho production is presented by Lunar Sea and Flash Theatre Productions. It's directed by Rowan Sutherland with choreography by Marcus Daniel.

The Actor's Company/The Other Space is located at 916a N. Formosa Ave.
