Motley Crue Rocks West Hollywood

A tribute to the glam band at the House of Blues on Thursday kicks off the Sunset Strip Music Festival.

The  got off to a noteworthy start Thursday night in West Hollywood with a tribute to Motley Crue at the  to honor its contributions to the history of the famed boulevard and the music industry.

The invite-only red carpet event saw owner Nic Adler, West Hollywood City Council members and even . Inside, Bob Buchman (KLOS-FM) and Kennedy (98.7 FM) presented Motley Crue with the annual Elmer Valentine Award, followed by a roast of the band by comedian Dane Cook.

Motley Crue will perform Saturday at the Sunset Strip Music Festival. Sunset between Doheny Drive and San Vicente Boulevard will be closed to traffic for a day of outdoor live performances.
