Say it ain't so!
Paul McCartney turns 70 years old today!
That means he's six years past wondering if people will still love him when he's 64.
For a rocker whose music helped fuel the flower power youth movement that told its followers not to trust anyone over 30, going 40 years beyond that Logan's Run age seems incomphrehensible.
Nonetheless it's true. The cute Beatle was born on June 18, 1942 in Liverpool.
McCartney fans are planning to gather around the entertainer's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in honor of his 70th birthday at 6 p.m. on Monday.
Organizers are encouraging participants to bring potluck birthday cakes and goodies to share during the celebration as well as perform McCartney and Beatles songs.
McCartney's star was recently unveiled on Feb. 9 in front of the Capitol Records building at 1750 N. Vine St. He was the final Beatle to receive star on the iconic landmark.
